I'm currently using a GTX 970 and while it's been a solid performer, I'm starting to notice it lag behind on newer games. I'm in search of budget-friendly GPU options in the $100 to $200 range and I'm open to used cards. Any recommendations?

I'm all for the Intel Arc B580; it's got more VRAM compared to the 5050 and 5060 and can handle modern games pretty decently. Plus, the price is usually right!
If you're considering used options, a 1080 Ti could be a great fit. Just a heads up, while it doesn't have ray tracing features like the 2000 series, for straightforward gaming performance, it still holds up really well.
You might want to check out the RX 6600 or RX 7600, both are solid options. The RTX 2050 could also be worth considering, and if you’re up for it, the Intel Arc B580 is a newer entry with good specs. Just compare prices online and check out some gaming benchmarks on YouTube to see how they perform before making a choice.
Getting a used RTX 2060 or RX 6600 is probably your best bet. They perform well, especially for the price, and should suit you fine for the newer titles.
What about an RTX 2060 or a 5700 XT? Not entirely sure on the current prices for those, but they could fit your needs pretty well.
