Hi everyone! I'm a freelance web designer based in Vietnam and I work on both one-off and multi-milestone projects. Currently, I'm using Wave, but I'm finding their fees a bit steep and they don't support milestone-based invoicing, so I'm considering changing to more budget-friendly options, ideally free, but I'm open to affordable paid tools as well.
I'm looking for software with the following features:
* The ability to send simple invoices, both one-time and milestone-based.
* Support for international payments, since I often work with clients from different countries.
* Free or low-cost options, as I'm still in the process of building my client base.
* It would be great if it also supports multiple clients/projects, partial payments/deposits, or even time-based billing.
Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

If you're into integrations, I've developed a setup for Clockify that creates invoices from your tracked time. It's pretty seamless and might be beneficial for what you're doing!
Invoice Ninja comes highly recommended! It's free, open source, and covers everything you're looking for, including one-time and milestone invoicing, international payment options through Stripe and PayPal, and support for multiple clients. It's also available in both self-hosted and cloud versions.
I personally use Elorus.com, and it has been great for my invoicing needs. It handles both simple and milestone invoices and is quite cost-effective.
Square is another option worth considering. It's user-friendly and can handle the international payments you need, plus it's relatively affordable for freelancers.
FreshBooks is popular among freelancers for a reason! While it's not free, it offers great custom features for invoicing and tracking payments, which can be really helpful as you build your client base.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll check out Elorus.
