Hey everyone! I'm a broke college student living in Europe and desperately in need of a decent office chair. I've seen lots of advice online like 'don't get a gaming chair, go for an Aeron,' but unfortunately, I just can't drop a grand on a chair right now. I'm hoping to find something under โ‚ฌ400 that's better than a typical gaming chair. I've heard about options like the IKEA Markus or Jรคrvfjรคllet, but the reviews are kind of all over the place. I'd love to get a list of solid chair options based on price or body type, or at least some tips on what to look for when choosing a chair. My back and butt would really appreciate any help here!

IKEA has some solid budget options like the Jรคrvfjรคllet which I've used without complaints. Take the time to actually sit in the chairs at the store, adjust them, and see what feels right for you. You really need to feel how a chair supports your body before buying!

If you're in Europe, look into second-hand office furniture auctions; you can often score high-quality chairs for cheap! Office chairs designed for business use tend to be more reliable and built to last. Check out local auctions in your city; you might find some hidden gems!

Donโ€™t let the hype about premium brands like Aeron fool you; many people have different preferences when it comes to comfort. A chair that fits your body is what you need! Try adjusting different chairs at stores like IKEA so you can find the perfect fit. Just donโ€™t rely too much on reviews since everyoneโ€™s backside is different!

It's super important to invest in a good chair, especially if you're sitting for long hours. I went for the Ergochair Pro and it's been great for lumbar support and comfort. I recommend checking out all-mesh chairs for better airflow too! Just remember to keep your posture in check; good ergonomics can save you from a lot of pain in the future!

ErgoFan45: Absolutely! I switched to a Flexispot chair and a standing desk combo. It's been a game changerโ€”no more sweaty backside!

While a good chair is important, donโ€™t forget to move around! Sitting for long periods is bad for anyone, no matter how comfy the chair is. Just make sure to take mini-breaks to stretch and walk around every hour to keep your body happy!
