I've been using IIS SMTP relay for sending notification emails from our devices and products to both internal and external customer domains. While I know a common suggestion is to switch to Postfix, I don't have much Linux experience, and I'm hesitant to use it in a production setting. I previously tried Proxmox Mail Gateway, but it seems limited to relaying only to listed domains, which isn't ideal. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with alternatives like Email Architect, MailEnable, SmarterMail, or Xeams? I'd love to hear any recommendations for self-hosted solutions that support DKIM, TLS 1.3, and have a decent logging interface. Also, hMailserver is no longer supported, so that's off the table.

As for hMailServer, it's crucial to note that it's no longer actively developed. It hasn’t received updates in years, and its reliance on outdated security protocols is a concern. I wouldn't recommend it.
We switched from IIS SMTP to Xeams and have been really satisfied. It integrates well with Office 365 via OAuth, which is perfect for our needs.
I know this might sound harsh, but sticking to Windows limits your choices. You could be missing out on some great tools just because of that.
