Looking for Comfortable Controllers for Big Hands

Hey everyone! I'm dealing with some hand and wrist pain and usually use a keyboard and mouse setup that helps me out, including a big ergonomic mouse. I'm thinking about getting a controller and want to know if there are any that are particularly ergonomic or good for longer gaming sessions. Also, if there aren't any standard options, what are the best controllers for folks with larger hands? I'm open to non-traditional controllers too. Thanks in advance!

If you've got larger hands, the DualSense controller is a solid pick. I’ve got larger hands myself, and I find it really comfy. I’ve also tried Xbox controllers, but I prefer the symmetrical stick layout of the DualSense. It’s a matter of personal preference, but definitely worth trying both to see what you like more.

Thanks for the suggestion! I held both controllers and found it tough to decide. The Xbox left thumb feels a bit more natural, but I'm still on the fence. Maybe I'll need to play with both a bit more.

Most modern gamepads are designed with ergonomics in mind. Just be sure you're keeping good posture and have relaxed wrists while playing! The two most popular shapes are the PS and Xbox styles, so I'd recommend trying both to see which feels better for you.

I’ve been using a gaming keypad and mouse combo for years, and I swear by them for ergonomics. Right now, I have the Azeron Cyborg which lets you customize the setup to fit your hand perfectly—definitely pricey, but worth it for the comfort during long sessions! If you're considering a gaming keypad, keep in mind that assembly is required, and you’ll need to tighten screws occasionally since they can loosen up.

I have large hands too, and I used to suffer from wrist pain using a standard Xbox controller. I switched to the Flydigi Vader 4, and it’s helped a lot! I mainly use it instead of my keyboard and mouse now since it causes me much less discomfort. You might want to check it out, though it can be tricky to find in some regions.
