Looking for Comfortable Headphones with Great Sound Quality

I've been using the DT990 Pro headphones, and while they sound great, they tend to hurt my ears after a while. Does anyone have recommendations for headphones that maintain similar audio quality but are more comfortable for extended use?

It sounds like the ear padding or pressure might be bothering you. For comfort, have you considered the Focal Clears? They're super comfy and have good audio imaging, although the soundstage isn't the best for gaming. Might be worth checking out!

If you're looking for great comfort and sound quality, I suggest checking out Sennheiser headphones. The 650s are high-end, 560S are mid-range, and the 599s are more budget-friendly. Definitely test them out; you might be pleasantly surprised!

Do you think the HD 560S are good for gaming? I’ve been using some older HyperX Cloud Alphas that are getting worn out.

I used to have the Philips Fidelio X2HR. They were really comfortable, though I'm not sure how the sound compares to the DT990s. Right now, I have the Sennheiser 660S2, which sound amazing but aren’t the most comfortable. Just a heads up!

Yeah, I had those Philips too! The headband can be a bit snug if you have a larger head, which is what I ran into.

For something comfy, the Sennheiser HD550s are solid. They've served me well over the years for gaming and are really comfortable, especially if you use a headphone amp. Just note, they're open-back, so sound isolation isn’t their strong suit.
