I'm dealing with ME/CFS, and I've set up my PC to make it easier to use from bed. I currently navigate basic tasks with a gamepad and a Logitech K400+ keyboard for more precise actions. However, I miss being able to play mouse-driven games like Age of Empires. I'm unfamiliar with alternative pointing devices or any gadgets that could help make gaming from my reclined position easier. Are there any pointing devices or setups that would work well for this situation?

Trackball mice are really comfortable! Elecom makes some decent ones that are wireless, and once you get used to it, you’ll wonder how you ever gamed without it. Plus, it stays in place while you control the pointer with your fingers!
A gyro mouse could be another option. It doesn't need a surface to work; you just point it at the screen, which could be perfect for gaming from bed without any fuss!
A trackball mouse could be a great option for you. It allows you to control the cursor by moving a ball, so you don’t have to move the mouse around physically. There are some good wireless options too, so it should work fine from bed. Just place the trackball on your lap or beside you and you're good to go!
Have you thought about using a wireless mouse with a solid surface like a lap desk? It's comfortable, and you can just rest the mouse on your lap or the cushions next to you. Easy peasy!
Yeah, that setup can work really well! I've had my wireless mouse on the arm of my recliner and it’s super convenient.
You can also use Steam's controller configuration to set up a Bluetooth controller to function like a keyboard and mouse. It's pretty flexible, so you can mimic mouse controls with your controller. That might give you more options while gaming in bed!

Totally agree! Using a trackball lets you keep it stationary while you control it with your thumb. It's a game changer for comfort!
