Looking for feedback on my first PC build for high-refresh 1440p gaming

I'm planning my first PC build and want a strong, balanced system rather than an ultra-high-end rig. My goal is to run most AAA games at around 120 FPS or higher, ideally without needing to replace major components for the next three to five years, assuming nothing fails. The current parts list includes a Radeon RX 9070 XT and a white-themed build. I'm mainly planning to play at 1440p, since 4K gaming isn't a priority for me right now. Are there any compatibility issues, poor value choices, or upgrades I should consider?

The white aesthetic adds a noticeable premium. If the color scheme is important to you, thatโ€™s completely fair, but some parts cost much more simply because theyโ€™re white. For example, a standard Phantom Spirit cooler can be around $35โ€“45, while the white version may be close to $90. You could save money by using a black cooler or mixing in a few darker components.

Iโ€™d seriously consider adding more than the current 1TB of storage. Modern AAA games can take up a huge amount of space, so 2TB would be more comfortable and may save you from upgrading soon. A second internal NVMe drive is usually the simplest option; an external drive can work for backups or less frequently played games, but it wonโ€™t be as convenient for your main library.

MellowKite_47: When you say another form of storage, do you mean a separate drive that I can plug in when needed?

StorageSparrow: I meant adding another internal SSD, preferably a second NVMe drive if the motherboard has a spare slot. An external drive is fine for backups, but an internal drive is better for games you play regularly.

The power supply is one area worth double-checking. The current model may be an older or less attractive-value option, and you may be able to find a newer white unit for less money if you shop around. Make sure it has enough capacity for the 9070 XT and comes from a reputable platform with the appropriate modern GPU power connector.

The build looks reasonable for 1440p gaming. A 9070 XT should handle a lot of games very well at that resolution, although getting a locked 120 FPS in every demanding AAA title may require lowering a few settings or using upscaling and frame generation. Native 4K at 120 FPS would be a much tougher target.
