Looking for GPU Upgrade Advice

Hey everyone! I built my first PC right before COVID, and it's been running great, but I'm starting to hit limits with gaming—especially with only 4GB of VRAM. I'm planning to use my tax return to upgrade the GPU and need some advice. Specifically, I'm considering the Intel ARC B580. Would it be enough to just replace the GPU, or should I also think about upgrading my CPU to prevent any bottlenecking? Also, will the Intel ARC B580 fit in my current motherboard? If I do need a new motherboard, any recommendations? Lastly, if anyone has thoughts on my GPU choice or suggestions that meet my budget of $400-500 with at least 12GB of VRAM, I'd love to hear them!

You might want to consider getting an RX 6600 or an RTX 3060 instead of the ARC B580. The R5 3600 should handle those GPUs pretty well. Also, the B580 will fit in your motherboard without any issues since it supports PCIe 4.0. That should help avoid any major bottlenecking.

I totally understand! Finding a good RTX 3060 at a reasonable price can be tough. I'm more inclined to go for a new one too, but I’ve had luck with used parts in the past.
