Hey everyone! I'm seeking some advice on upgrading my GPU. Currently, I have a MSI 2080 paired with a 7800x3d. I'm considering either the 9070XT or the 5070/5070 Ti. The prices fluctuate quite a bit, and I've noticed the 9070XT sometimes dips. I'm also curious if AMD cards have something similar to DLSS, and how well supported that is? Thanks in advance!

AMD's version of DLSS is called FSR, and it operates on a driver level. The image quality varies, with some users saying that DLSS is better while others find them comparable now. Initially, FSR had some quality issues, but it has improved since then.
The 5070Ti is a solid option but if you’re really looking to save some cash, the B580 could be worth a look too!
If you have specific games you love that require DLSS or FSR, double-check their support before committing. All in all, lean towards the 9070XT unless you find a killer deal on the 5070Ti.
Generally, the RX 9070 and 9070 XT provide better value compared to the 5070 and 5070 Ti, though it can depend on your location. AMD cards now support FSR 4, with image quality that fits between DLSS 3 and 4. Just a heads up, you could potentially face issues with multiplayer games using FSR due to anti-cheat measures. In terms of VRAM-to-cost ratio, the 9070 XT is quite compelling, especially since the 5070 Ti is now priced over $900.
I recently switched from a 2080 to a 9070 XT, and the improvement is remarkable. It feels like a totally new gaming experience with the enhanced graphics. Just keep in mind that the 9070XT needs 3x 6+2 pin connectors, so check if your PSU can handle that and consider upgrading it since it will draw more power than the 2080.
I’d go for the 5070Ti if you want a solid card. It can be overclocked to a performance close to the 5080, and you won’t be disappointed with it. Just make sure you check prices.
The 9070XT does indeed support FSR 4 (now known as FSR Redstone), which is almost on par with DLSS 4. When it comes to performance rankings, I'd say 5070Ti > 9070XT > 9070 > 5070. Right now, the 9070XT is a much better deal than the 5070Ti, but don't expect any price drops soon; if anything, they might just keep rising for a while.
