Hey folks! I'm currently using DBeaver for managing my SQL databases but I'm curious if there are any more modern tools out there. I want to explore my options and see what else might be available. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

Beekeeper Studio has been a great alternative for me! Super user-friendly and does everything I need.

It's unfortunate it’s only available for Mac, though.

+1 for Beekeeper! If my company wasn’t covering DataGrip, I'd definitely stick with it.

You might want to check out DataGrip or Sequel Ace if you're on macOS. Both of those tools are pretty modern and widely used!

How do these stack up against DBeaver in terms of usability?

I find DataGrip to be a bit clunky, but it generally gets the job done.

Honestly, I've used DBeaver for a while and haven’t had major complaints. What specifically are you looking to improve?

I was just wondering what others think. I just had a discussion about it and wanted to see if there are other perspectives.

DBeaver's UI/UX is pretty rough; it can drop data unexpectedly when handling large payloads. I've had updates break my setup a couple of times this year.

Navicat is another option worth considering. Been using it for a long time, and it works well for me!

I’m also a long-time Navicat user, it has served me well.

I really like TablePlus! It's a solid tool for managing databases and feels pretty modern.

Absolutely! It's a great utility.
