Hey everyone! I'm seeking some advice on how to upgrade my PC. I'm not super tech-savvy, but here's what I currently have: a 4060 Ti 8GB GPU, an Intel Core i5-10400F CPU running at 2.90GHz, a B460M Pro motherboard, and 32GB of DDR4 2666 RAM. I'm particularly interested in options for upgrading the motherboard and CPU, and I'm also considering a switch to the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB GPU if it's compatible with whatever upgrades I make. Any suggestions?

I’d definitely suggest swapping out your motherboard. A newer Intel CPU would be a solid upgrade; you could go for something like the i7-11700F. If you're willing to invest a bit more cash, getting a newer motherboard along with an 11th gen i5 could be worth it, as it offers better performance and modern features like PCIe 4. For instance, you could check out an i5-12600KF with a compatible motherboard—it’ll really modernize your setup!
Is keeping the DDR4 RAM feasible with these upgrades, or do I have to switch to DDR5?
The 9060 XT you're eyeing is roughly $513, which sounds reasonable. However, from what I've read, sticking with Intel CPUs might be your best bet at this point. So maybe go Intel if you're unsure about AMD?
If you want to stick with your current motherboard, a 10900K would be compatible but isn't the best long-term choice. I would recommend going for a 13700K or 14700K with a Z690 DDR4 motherboard for better future-proofing. If you have a Microcenter nearby, consider checking out their bundles for a better deal!

What about switching to AMD? I’m leaning that way myself and would love to hear thoughts!
