I'm building a PC for my mum using my old case, so I need to find a new one! I've been using a black Gamemax Shadow mid tower for over a decade, and I'd love to upgrade to something nicer, preferably with RGB lights. I'm leaning towards a case that's either white or red because I think that would look cool, and quality is important to me.
I was considering the Corsair 3500x, but after seeing a review that said it was flimsy, I'm having second thoughts. I do like the glass atrium design though. Ideally, I'd want a case that comes with four decent ARGB fans and a controller. I have four Gamemax black ARGB fans that I could use, but I'm open to buying new white ones if necessary.
Here are the specs for the build:
- ATX ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING motherboard
- Ryzen 7 5800X3D 3.4GHz with a fan
- Palit 3080 Gamerock 10GB
- 48GB RAM
- Gigabyte 1000W PSU
- 2 x SSD
- 2 x HDD
- 2 x external drives
I'm looking to keep the budget under £200. Any advice would mean a lot to me!

For a case, I'd recommend going with something white! I haven't seen many red cases either. If you want a cool look, consider the Fractal Design Meshify series—it has a removable top that makes building easier, plus a glass side panel to show off your components. Just be cautious about the build quality! You can always paint a white case red if you want to add some color without needing a specific red case.
