Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out how to manage desk bookings in a hybrid work environment. Currently, we use Logitech Flex Docks paired with LogiTune to let users book desks from their phones or PCs. It's been great because the docks indicate whether a desk is booked or available. However, we've just learned that this product line is reaching end of life and there won't be any new replacements coming out.
So, I'm on the lookout for new software that's user-friendly and allows for desk booking from both PCs and iOS devices. Additionally, it would be ideal if there's a way to quickly check desk status without having to log into a computer. We also would love the ability to book a desk on the spot if we see it's free. The Logitech setup was perfect for this, so if anyone has suggestions for alternatives, I would really appreciate it!

I’ve used Robin before. It’s not perfect, but pretty solid overall for managing desk bookings.
Have you checked the end-of-life notice for Flex Docks? We’re using them alongside Zoom for desk scheduling. They work well, but we’ve also heard from our rep that they’re being phased out. Might want to transition to something else soon!
Do you need a physical indicator, like a light or a tablet, at each desk? In the past, I’ve set up dashboards showing desk availability and linked them to a TV display near the entrance. It worked well to visualize bookings!
You might want to consider Microsoft Teams along with Places. With the recent changes in the licensing for Places, you won’t need any additional hardware since notifications for bookings come through Teams and Outlook. Just a thought!
Exactly, CDW mentioned that there are only a limited number of Flex Docks left, and they were getting cheap for a reason!

Yeah, my rep confirmed the same thing. We were told they’re stopping production because of a manufacturing issue that would drastically raise the costs.
