Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a solid tool or website that can accurately convert English speech into text. I'm specifically looking for something that:
- Provides good accuracy for English audio
- Supports various audio formats
- Can be either a web app or a mobile app
- Is free or at least offers a free trial

You should check out goodtape.io; it works pretty well for converting audio to text.
Scriptivox.com is worth looking into as well. It offers good daily limits without needing to pay unless you're a heavy user.
I recommend using Otter. It's great for generating text files that not only transcribe audio but also differentiate between speakers! You can even play back the audio while reading the text for better accuracy.
Just a heads up, Otter has tightened its limitations on the free tier lately. Now you're capped at 90 minutes a month and only 10 documents, which can be frustrating. It does a decent job, but depending on your needs, there might be better options out there.
