I've had this PC setup for a few years after buying it second-hand, but I stopped gaming for a while. Now, I'm looking to get back into it, but I've noticed performance issues. While it runs smaller games like Terraria just fine, it struggles with larger titles such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, and The Sims 4, suffering from lag and frame drops. Additionally, the system itself is really slow, taking a while to start up and load apps like Google. I don't have much technical knowledge, so I'd really appreciate any suggestions on how to improve my current rig or possible upgrades.

Check out the used market for processors like the i7-6700K or RAM upgrades to 16GB DDR3 at 1600MHz. For graphics, a GTX 3060 or RX 6600 could be good options too. Just make sure to verify your RAM speed before buying more since 666MHz is pretty slow. A fresh Windows install could also boost your PC’s performance. Just keep in mind that you're somewhat limited in what you can upgrade since 6th gen Intel was the last to use DDR3.

Thanks for the tips! I didn’t realize there was quite a bit I could do with that. I'll look into all these options!
