Hey everyone! I'm excited to dive into learning programming, but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the options out there. I have a strong interest in gaming and robotics, which makes me curious about the best programming languages to start with. If you could go back and start from scratch, what languages would you choose and how would you recommend approaching this as a hobby? Are there any major do's or don'ts I should be aware of? I'd love to hear any recommendations or insights you have. Thanks a bunch!

I'd say jump into learning Python first! It's a general-purpose language that's super popular in robotics and pretty easy for beginners. If you find Python doesn’t click for you, C could be a solid alternative.

Honestly, there’s a great tool called Scratch that's perfect for beginners, especially for younger folks. If you're looking for a more serious start, I'd recommend Python; it's widely used and user-friendly. Also, check out community resources for useful links.

Check out platforms like Unity, Unreal Engine, or Godot. They’re fantastic for game development and have great tutorials for beginners. Just pick one and start with their new-user exercises to get rolling!
