Looking to Upgrade My GPU from a 1070: Need Some Advice!

Hey folks! I'm considering upgrading my graphics card from a GTX 1070 and I'm torn between the 5070/ti and the RX 9070 XT. I should've made this upgrade back in December, but here we are. My specs include a B450 motherboard, 64GB DDR4 RAM, and a Ryzen 7 5700X. I mainly game at 1080p, but I want to start making the leap to 1440p with this new card. I've chatted with a couple of friends who have different opinions—one says to just go for the TI if I can afford it, while the other suggests saving some cash and going with the 9070. Price isn't really a dealbreaker for me, but I'm not too excited about shelling out $700 to $1000 USD. What do you think I should choose?

If price isn't a concern for you, then the 5070ti is definitely a solid choice. It has better features overall, and if you're into AI/ML stuff, it could be worth the extra cash. Just remember that the DLSS performance is above FSR, but whether that's worth the extra cost might depend on your usage.

Honestly, if you're looking to get the best bang for your buck, I'd lean towards the 9070 XT. The performance gap between the 5070ti and the 9070 XT isn't significant enough to justify the price hike. Plus, with your setup, you'll definitely see a solid improvement without breaking the bank.

Thanks for the input! I'll definitely consider the 9070 XT.
