Hey everyone,

Our company is planning to transition away from Mulesoft and migrate our existing APIs to Java Spring Boot. With the advancements in AI and numerous language models available today, I'm curious if anyone has successfully utilized AI prompts to assist with this migration?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether it's feasible for an AI tool to handle this kind of task through a simple prompt.

Thanks in advance!

Years ago, I had to migrate from Java to Mulesoft and it was quite the challenge. Now, on the flip side, if you're looking for some magic AI tool to leap you from Mulesoft to a better setup, brace yourself. It's going to take actual work. No shortcuts here!

I've just wrapped up migrating several apps from Mulesoft. Initially, I tried using Cursor's paid version for help, but the results were disappointing. It ended up being more effective for converting RAML to OpenAPI rather than assisting in the actual migration. Bottom line: it’s a tough job that might not be well-suited for AI assistance.

Could you clarify what Mulesoft is? Also, jumping into the idea of using AI for this task seems optimistic. From my experience, AI struggling with complex generated code or configurations from Mulesoft isn't exactly a surprise. I wouldn't count on it helping much with a migration like this.

Honestly, if you're expecting to just prompt your way through this migration, you're in for a rude awakening. It’s going to require deeper understanding and manual effort.
