Monitor Speakers Stopped Working After Reconnecting My PC Cables

My monitor speakers were working normally until I unplugged everything to clean dust from my computer. I reconnected all the cables in the same positions, but the monitor no longer produces sound. I tried another port, confirmed the monitor volume is at 100% with mute disabled, and reinstalled both the High Definition Audio and graphics card drivers. Windows still detects the audio hardware in Device Manager. What should I check next?

First, verify which audio output Windows is using. If the monitor is connected over HDMI or DisplayPort, the monitor usually appears as a separate playback device, often named after the monitor or graphics card. Open the full list of sound outputs and select it as the default device. A complete screenshot of the available audio outputs and Device Manager would help confirm whether the correct device is being detected.

The monitor is connected through HDMI. I’ll check whether Windows switched the default output after reconnecting the cables and provide the full device lists if it still doesn’t appear.
