After a fresh Windows 11 installation with updated drivers, my wireless mouse pointer is invisible immediately after signing in until I move the mouse. Once it appears, it stays visible until the next restart. The same thing happens on the sign-in screen: the pointer is hidden until the mouse moves, then disappears again after logging in. Waking the monitor does not reproduce the issue, but waking the PC from sleep with a key press and logging out and back in do.
I have tried plugging in the mouse, using a wired mouse, changing USB ports, adjusting USB Selective Suspend and wireless-adapter power settings, testing in Safe Mode, and removing and reinstalling the AMD graphics drivers with DDU. The system is running Windows 11 Pro 25H2 on a Ryzen 7 5800X3D with 32 GB of RAM and a Radeon RX 9070 XT. Is this expected behavior, or does it point to the graphics driver not loading the cursor properly during login?

The cursor is usually rendered through a hardware-accelerated overlay, so it can remain smooth even when the desktop itself is still loading. This sounds like the graphics driver or display stack is not drawing the pointer immediately during sign-in, rather than a problem with the mouse, receiver, or USB port.
That makes sense. Is this normal during startup, or would reinstalling the graphics driver be the next thing to try?
