Since yesterday, my mouse has started scrolling extremely slowly in every web browser. The movement feels jerky and happens in tiny increments, almost like the input is lagging. Scrolling works normally in file managers and other local applications, so the problem seems limited to browsers rather than the mouse itself. Restarting the computer temporarily fixes it, but the issue eventually returns. Has anyone experienced this or found a lasting solution?

I’m seeing the same behavior that started yesterday. It affects both Chrome and Edge, while scrolling remains normal in other applications. My mouse is an MX Anywhere 3, so this may be related to a browser, driver, or system-level change rather than one specific browser.
One possibility is that the mouse itself is starting to fail. Replacing it or testing with another mouse would help rule out a hardware problem, and having a spare is useful anyway.

The mouse is less than a year old, and it works normally in local applications. Since the problem only affects browsers, I’m not convinced the mouse is the cause.
