My MSI PC suddenly stopped accessing the internet yesterday even though it had worked normally the day before. Windows shows the Wi‑Fi connection as connected and secured, and the network icon even says "Internet access," but websites and online services do not work. Other devices on the same network connect normally. I've already tried a network reset, reinstalling and updating the Wi‑Fi driver, running various ipconfig and other Command Prompt commands, restarting the PC, resetting settings, and rebooting the router. Has anyone dealt with this issue or found a reliable fix?

It may be worth fully power-cycling the modem and router rather than only restarting them. Unplug both, wait a few minutes, power the modem back on first, then the router, and let the connection come back. A temporary DHCP lease or router table glitch can sometimes affect one device. This isn’t specific to one internet provider, though the ISP may be able to refresh the connection if it keeps happening.
A few other people with newer MSI PCs have reported a very similar problem starting around the same time. In some cases the connection works briefly for five or ten minutes and then drops again, so it may not be a simple Wi‑Fi password or driver issue. Since the other devices work on the same network, testing the PC on a phone hotspot or with Ethernet could help confirm whether the problem is limited to the computer’s wireless adapter or the home network.
My PC is also fairly new, so that’s frustrating. I’ll test it on another connection to narrow down whether the adapter or the router is responsible.

I’m using Xfinity. I wasn’t sure whether some providers were more likely to cause this, but I’ll try a complete modem and router power cycle.
