My MSI PC suddenly lost internet access yesterday even though it worked normally the day before. Windows says the computer is connected and secured, and the taskbar indicates internet access, but no websites or online services work. Other devices on the same Wi-Fi network connect without any problems. I have already tried resetting the network, uninstalling and reinstalling or updating the Wi-Fi driver, running various ipconfig and other Command Prompt commands, restarting the PC, changing network settings, and rebooting the router. What else could I try to fix this?

A few people with newer MSI PCs have reported similar behavior, including connections that work briefly before dropping again. That points more toward a system-specific Wi-Fi, driver, or compatibility problem than a general outage, especially since your other devices are online. Unfortunately, the usual resets and driver reinstalls do not always resolve it, so checking for a newer motherboard or wireless-adapter driver may be worthwhile.
Try fully power-cycling both the modem and router. Unplug them, wait a few minutes, then power the modem back on and let it reconnect before starting the router. A DHCP lease or routing-table glitch can sometimes affect one device even when everything else still works.

My provider is Xfinity. I’ll try a complete modem and router power cycle to see whether it refreshes the connection.
