Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a major issue after installing Windows 11 update KB5063878 on my AsusROG-GL503GE. I have a 1TB HDD (ST1000LX015-1U7172) and before this happened, my drive had two partitions, D: and E:. Now after the corruption, I can still access my D: drive, but the files are not directly reachable. At least I managed to recover some important files using a YouTube tutorial. However, my drive E: is showing as RAW and totally inaccessible. To make matters worse, my D: drive is now unallocated and isn't visible anymore. I'm really concerned and I have a few questions: 1. How can I recover data from the RAW drive E:? 2. How do I make my D: drive visible again? 3. If I manage to recover data from E: and get D: visible again, will I be able to format both partitions and use them like new without any issues?

It's worth noting that some SSDs, particularly those with Phison controllers, have had issues since that Windows update. You might want to keep up with news from Microsoft regarding fixes for these failures. In the meantime, focus on data recovery software for your RAW drive. Trying to recover your important files first is a great idea, and it's good to hear they're not massive files, which makes recovery more manageable.
You should definitely try using some data recovery software like Recuva or EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, taking it to a professional recovery shop is a solid option. But be cautious about formatting your drives since it could lead to more data loss. Also, for future safety, establishing a backup plan with cloud storage can save you from this stress next time!
