My Brother’s Computer Won’t Recognize My Flash Drive – Any Ideas?

I'm having a frustrating problem with my brother's Windows computer. It refuses to read my 516 GB PNY flash drive, which was working perfectly fine before. Whenever I plug it in, I get this message saying "Please insert disk into USB drive (E:)". It's plugged in, but the drive only shows up briefly under "This PC" before disappearing again. I've even tried using command prompts to fix the issue, but no luck. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

Have you checked the format of your drive? If it’s formatted as exFAT, it should be compatible with most Windows systems. You might want to try plugging it into another computer to see if it gets recognized there. It could also be a driver issue on your brother's PC.

It might help to see what version of Windows your brother is using, as some older versions have trouble with certain USB drives. If you can, try updating the USB drivers or running a disk check on his machine.
