My CD-Rs Aren’t Being Recognized by My Drive

Hey everyone! I could really use some help with a problem I'm facing. I'm trying to burn some CDs and I bought a pack of 10 new, sealed CD-Rs. However, my CD/DVD drive isn't recognizing them at all. I tested the drive with previously burned CDs and DVDs, and they played perfectly fine. But when I insert the new CD-Rs, the drive briefly tries to read them, then it just stops and I get a message saying 'Insert a disc in this unit.' I'm not sure if I've explained this clearly, and I'm not sure what category to label this under, but I would really appreciate any advice you have. Thanks a lot!

Have you tried using CDBurnerXP? I find that it works really well for burning CDs. It's worth a shot!

I'm already using CDBurnerXP! But whenever I attempt to access my drive, it keeps saying 'Insert a disc in the drive'.

Just double-check to make sure your drive is a CD/DVD RW drive and not just a CD/DVD ROM. It's a common mix-up!

I can confirm it is a RW drive! It's even labeled as such on both the box and the drive itself.
