I recently visited a non-secure website and, despite getting a warning, I dismissed it. Now my computer has become really slow and it freezes constantly. I ran a virus scan on Windows, but it didn't find any threats. I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed and I'm not very tech-savvy, so any help would be appreciated.

It’s unlikely that just visiting a non-secure site will directly cause your computer to slow down. Usually, a non-secure site just means its security certificate is faulty, but it doesn’t mean your PC is infected. Can you provide more details about your system specs, what you see in Task Manager, and any troubleshooting steps you've already taken?
Thanks for the reply! In Task Manager, I see tons of processes going on, but none of them seem to be using much CPU that would explain the freezing. I’ve only tried restarting and running the antivirus scan so far.
It might help to check for any background applications that could be draining resources. Sometimes, even non-threatening processes can take up a lot of memory or CPU if something's misbehaving. You could consider running a more specialized malware removal tool just to be safe!
