I have an HP ZBook Firefly 15 G7 laptop and it suddenly started glitching while I was browsing the internet before the screen went black. After that, I forced it to shut down by long-pressing the power button. Now, when I try to power it back up, it beeps three long and two short beeps repeatedly and then just stops, leaving me with a blank screen. I'm using Ubuntu as my operating system. I'm really not sure what the next steps should be to fix this!

It sounds like your laptop might be having some hardware issues. The beeping pattern you described, 3 long beeps followed by 2 short, usually points to something wrong with the RAM. Before diving deeper, here are a couple of things you can try: reseat the memory modules (which means to take them out and put them back in) and see if that makes a difference. If it doesn’t work and you have two RAM modules, try booting with just one stick at a time to identify if one is faulty. If it boots normally afterwards, consider running a memory test with tools like Memtest86 to check for any further issues. Good luck!
Just to add on to that, it might also be worth checking for overheating issues or a faulty power supply which could lead to these symptoms. If reseating your RAM doesn't work, you might want to check if the laptop is overly hot or if there are any lights flashing that could indicate another problem. Don't hesitate to provide more details if anything changes!
