My Keyboard Is Acting Weird—Can’t Type Question Marks!

I'm currently in college and facing a frustrating issue with my keyboard. For some reason, the key for the question mark has stopped working completely. Instead of typing the question mark, this key now acts as the up arrow key. When I try to press it with the Shift key, it selects text instead of producing the character I need. I've attempted a couple of fixes, like updating and uninstalling the keyboard drivers and changing the keyboard language settings, but nothing has worked so far. I'm really in need of help since I haven't found anyone else experiencing this specific problem.

Another couple of things to try: If you have an external keyboard, see if that works. Also, check that the virtual keyboard matches your physical one. As a temporary fix, you can use special characters for your question mark, for example, using ALT + 64 can work.

Have you tried activating the onscreen keyboard? Check if the layout there looks correct. If everything's normal, you might have activated the arrow mode on your mini keyboard. Try pressing FN along with the right Shift or Enter to switch back to typing mode instead of arrow inputs. Some keyboards have a reset key combination like FN + space, depending on the brand.

You might also want to try a quick shortcut like Windows-key + spacebar or Ctrl + Shift. That could potentially reset your keyboard layout back to what you had before.

I suggest a few steps: First, power off your computer and remove the power cable and battery for about 10 seconds. Also, check if the FN key is stuck. You can delete the keyboard from the device manager and let Windows reinstall it afterward. If you have access to a USB keyboard, try using that as well to see if the problem persists.
