My Laptop Cursor Moves but Can’t Click Anything—What Should I Do?

Hey everyone! I'm facing an issue with my Windows 11 laptop. When I start it up, the cursor moves around just fine, but I can't click on anything at all. The keyboard works without any issues, but I can't make any selections with the mouse. I tried a few methods I found online, but none worked. The only workaround I found was using Ctrl+Alt+Del and then selecting lock, which makes the cursor functional again. Is there anything else I can do to prevent this from happening in the future?

It sounds like a driver issue that might be related to Windows 11's fast startup feature. Windows doesn't completely shut down; it saves the kernel state to boot up faster. If there's a glitch in your drivers, it gets reloaded each time you start your laptop. To fix this, you can try disabling fast startup:

1. Press the Windows Key and type "Control Panel".
2. Hit Enter, then go to Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
3. Click on "Choose what the power buttons do".
4. Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable" at the top.
5. Uncheck the option for "Turn on fast startup (recommended)".
6. Save the changes and restart your laptop.
