My Laptop Keeps Trying to Cast to All TVs—Help!

I'm experiencing a really annoying issue with my HP laptop where it tries to cast to every smart TV in my house. This can cause my laptop to lag, especially when multiple TVs are trying to connect at once. If I hit stop casting, it kicks the person off the TV and back to the home screen. I'm hoping for some solutions that don't involve switching from Google Chrome. Any tips would be appreciated!

Are you sure this only happens when you're using Chrome? It seems strange, almost like you’ve got a glitch or minor issue going on that’s mimicking a virus. It might be worth checking out alternative browsers just to rule that out!

You might want to try using a fresh profile in Chrome. Sometimes extensions or old settings can cause weird issues like this, so starting fresh could help.

If switching browsers isn’t your thing, consider setting up a separate WiFi network just for your laptop. That way, it won't connect to the TVs at all!

Wait, you can create a separate WiFi using your main one? I had no idea! That's a great idea, thanks!

Double-check each TV’s settings to see if there's an auto-connect feature that remembers devices. You should also try disabling casting in your browser settings temporarily until you resolve this issue. And make sure you’re not running any browser extensions that might be causing this weird behavior.
