I've got an older laptop that I want to replace soon, but I need to get some important files off it first. The problem is, some of the keys on the keyboard aren't working, and those specific letters are essential for signing in.
I tried using a different keyboard, but oddly, the same letters still won't type. I've checked for any debris and confirmed that there's no external damage to either keyboard. Is there a workaround for signing in, or is there a way to transfer files to a new computer without needing to log in?

You might want to try using the on-screen keyboard that's part of the accessibility options. It’s pretty handy! Just make sure you have a working mouse to click on the keys you need. It should help you get past the sign-in screen.

How do I access the on-screen keyboard? When I turn on the laptop, I only see options to sign in, connect to WiFi, or shut down.
