My Laptop Suddenly Shut Down and Smelled Like It Was Burning—What Should I Do?

I was just using my 2020 Huawei MateBook when it unexpectedly shut down. I tried plugging it in, but the charging light won't turn on. I also held down the power button for a few seconds, but that didn't help either. I had about 15 tabs open at the time, but I've always managed a lot of tabs before without any issues. Now I'm worried, especially since I smelled something burning.

You might want to stop using it right away; a burning smell near a lithium battery is a big red flag! It's best to get it checked out by a professional. If you're comfortable with electronics, you could open it up and see if anything looks off, but be careful!
