Earlier today, my laptop crashed with a Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) due to a kernel_mode_trap error. After restarting, it stopped connecting to my WiFi network. While it can see the available networks, whenever I try to connect, it just shows "No internet, secured." I've tried resetting the network settings, running various CMD commands, updating the network driver (which I had to download on my phone and transfer via USB), and even reseating the network card. However, the problem persists. This issue only affects my laptop; my other devices are connecting just fine. I also attempted to use USB tethering with my phone, but that still isn't working. Now I'm stuck because I can't even update my system without an internet connection. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

This could possibly be a virus issue. You can download Dr. Web CureIt from another device, transfer it to the affected laptop, and run a full scan to check for any malicious software. Might be worth a try!
You should also run the ipconfig command in CMD. It might give you information on your DNS configuration. If it’s missing, try setting a manual DNS to 1.1.1.1.
Have you found anything in the Minidump folder after the BSOD? You might want to check C:WindowsMinidump for crash logs. They can be super helpful for diagnosing the issue.
It sounds like a tricky situation. Since USB tethering isn’t working either, this might indicate a more systemic issue following the BSoD. I suggest trying to boot your laptop in Safe Mode with Networking, then running a full network reset and checking for any corrupted system files. If that doesn’t help, you might consider rolling back any recent updates or maybe doing a repair install of Windows 11, which usually avoids data loss.
Just a heads up, definitely make sure to back up your important data first. If things really go south, you don’t want to lose anything.
