My new iPad isn’t accepting my passcode, what can I do?

I recently bought a new iPad from Costco and set it up without any issues. However, after a few hours of use, it suddenly prompted me for my passcode and won't accept it, even though I'm sure it's correct. I attempted to reset and update it through Finder on my MacBook, but I keep running into some random error code that prevents me from completing the reset. What should I try next?

You might want to try resetting it to factory settings. This usually clears out any issues and gets it back to a clean slate. However, I understand it can be tricky since you can't log in to the device to do that.

Before going for a factory reset, check if you can restore it using recovery mode. Just connect the iPad to your MacBook and put it into recovery mode. This could let you reset it without needing the passcode.
