My New SSD Isn’t Showing Up – What Should I Do?

I just installed a new 1TB Teamgroup MP44L NVMe SSD as a secondary drive in my laptop, but after about 10 days, it stopped being detected in File Manager. In Disk Management, it appears as basic and online, but it doesn't show its size, and the black bar is absent. When I checked using CMD with diskpart and listed the disks, it only shows a size of 128 KB. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue?

Check to make sure the SSD is properly seated in the motherboard. Take it out, clean the m.2 slot to remove any dust, and then reinstall it. If it still doesn’t show up in Disk Management, it might be time to return it for a replacement.

I’ve tried that too, and even used an enclosure, but it didn’t help. I think my last resort is to return it to the manufacturer.

If the SSD was really cheap, there's a chance it could be a fake. Just keep that in mind!

Have you tried reformatting the SSD? This will erase all data, but it could help determine if the SSD is failing or if it can be salvaged. It’s worth a shot!

I've already tried formatting it a couple of times, but I still get the same result.
