My NVMe SSD Keeps Disconnecting – What Should I Do?

I've been having trouble with my Adata XPG 2TB NVMe SSD for a month now. It would occasionally be recognized by my PC, but then it started rebooting randomly. I sent it in for an RMA and received a replacement, which worked fine for about 15 days. However, while I was watching a movie yesterday, my PC restarted again, and now the SSD isn't showing up in the BIOS. I've tried cleaning the contact points and resetting the BIOS settings, but nothing is working. I'm really stuck! Any advice?

Have you tried swapping your SSD into a different M.2 slot on your motherboard? If you have access to another PC, that could also help you figure out if the SSD is the issue. It’s possible that the replacement could be faulty too, or there might be a problem with your motherboard damaging the SSDs. If all else fails, consider grabbing a new one from a different brand as a test.

I have a 3-year warranty left on my current SSD, so I'm thinking of checking with an SSD enclosure while I shop for other options since I don't have a second NVMe slot.
