My PC had a strange issue where it wouldn't give any signal to the monitor even though the fans and lights were on. I tried a different output cable and nothing changed. After checking all the internal connections, I plugged the output cable into the motherboard instead, and it worked! Then I switched it back to the graphics card and it worked again. Now, the PC is running, but the background is all black with a popup about learning about the picture. Everything else seems fine, but I'm concerned something might still be wrong. Does anyone know what might have happened?

Sounds like Windows was just a bit confused. It likely switched to the onboard graphics when you unplugged the cable. Once you plugged it back into the GPU, it recognized it and got back on track. No worries there! Just make sure your graphics card is firmly seated and connected.
