Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my PC. It's about 5 years old, and today it started shutting down about a minute after I turn it on. This started happening after I restarted it because it was running really slow. Now, it just won't stay on. Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be causing this?

Another quick fix you could try is to replace the thermal paste on your processor. That often helps with overheating issues.

It sounds like your PC might be overheating. That can happen if the fans are clogged with dust or the thermal paste needs replacing.

I had a similar issue and it turned out to be bad RAM. I removed a couple of sticks, and it worked fine after that.

Yeah, overheating is definitely worth checking out, but I’d also consider the power supply. It could be failing.

Hm, boiling the components? Not exactly the best idea! But seriously, check for overheating first.
