My ROG Zephyrus G14 randomly powered off last night, and since then the dedicated GPU has shown Code 43 in Device Manager. I've restarted it several times, removed the GPU through Device Manager, and even restored the system to an earlier restore point, but the error remains. The laptop is currently running on its integrated graphics. I haven't tried a full DDU driver cleanup yet. Could this still be a driver problem, or does the sudden shutdown and persistent Code 43 point to a hardware failure?

A persistent Code 43 after restarts, a restore point, and removing the device usually suggests the GPU is failing to initialize rather than just having a corrupt driver. Since the problem started immediately after an unexpected shutdown, hardware or a power-related fault is a real possibility. You can still try a clean driver removal with DDU and reinstall the proper graphics driver, but if Code 43 remains afterward, the laptop should be inspected or repaired.
GPU-Z information can help identify the card, but it doesn’t prove the hardware is healthy. If the driver cleanup and reinstall don’t change the error, I’d treat it as a hardware issue and avoid repeatedly stressing the system.
