My RTX 4070 Ti Super recently stopped working, so I'm looking for a replacement or comparable upgrade. I want at least the same 1440p gaming performance without spending an unreasonable amount, especially since I paid about $799 for the original card. I'm frustrated by the situation and would appreciate suggestions for worthwhile current-generation, used, or warranty-replacement options.

If you’d rather stay with Nvidia, look at the RTX 5070 Ti, though current pricing may make it hard to justify. A regular RTX 5070 is another option if you don’t want to spend much more, and used 5070 Ti cards can sometimes be found around the $650 range depending on your area.
For a reasonably priced side-grade or modest upgrade, the Radeon RX 9070 or 9070 XT would be strong choices at 1440p. The XT makes the most sense if the price difference is reasonable and you want some extra performance.
Before buying anything, check the card’s warranty and contact the manufacturer or retailer. If it’s still covered, a replacement could save you a lot of money. It’s worth exploring that first, even if you’re unsure how helpful their support will be.
I was so stressed that I completely overlooked the warranty. The card hasn’t even been three years old, so I’m going to check that before making any purchase.
