My Windows 11 Laptop Reset Itself—What Happened?

I was using my laptop, which I've had for over a year, and everything was working fine with all my personal settings like screen arrangements, taskbar positioning, and my default browser being Chrome instead of Bing. However, just a week later, when I turn it on, all those personalizations are gone! It's asking me to log back into my Google and Microsoft accounts, and the taskbar has reverted to the middle instead of my preferred left side. Fortunately, all my files are backed up in my Google Drive, so I didn't lose any important data. What could have caused this, and how can I restore my settings without having to redo everything manually?

It sounds like your laptop might have logged you into a temporary account. This can happen if something goes wrong during startup or if there's an issue with your user profile. You can check if that's the case by using the Command Prompt. Just press Windows + R, type 'cmd', hit Enter, and then type 'whoami'. After that, type 'echo %temp%'. If it shows a path like C:UsersTEMP, then you're in a temp account. You can try restarting your laptop to see if it logs you back into your regular account. If not, I can help you with further steps to recover your profile!

It says C:UsersTEMPAppDataLocalTemp, so yeah, I guess I am. How can I get it to log back into my correct account?
