I've been hearing a strange ticking or soft clicking sound while gaming on my new PC, which I got just a couple of months ago. It happens randomly, maybe every few minutes during gameplay. I have an HDD in my system, but my games are not installed there, so I'm wondering if the HDD is the source of this sound. My setup includes an RTX 5070 Ventus 2X OC, a Ryzen 7 9700X, and a Gigabyte UD1000GM PG5 PSU rated at 1000W 80 Plus. Is this noise normal, or should I be concerned?

That ticking noise could just be your HDD making some normal sounds, especially if it's getting slightly warmer during use. Sometimes, the metal components expand and contract with temperature changes, which can create those clicking sounds. If you've got a video, that might help diagnose it further!

Thanks for the insight! I tried to post a video here, but it didn't work. I've shared it on another platform; hopefully, it will help clarify what I'm hearing.
