Hey everyone! I'm a teenager who just got a side job and I'm thinking about building my first gaming PC. Before I spend money on parts, I want to educate myself about computers and the building process. I'm looking for free courses or resources that can help me get started. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Check out this YouTube video! It’s a fantastic starting point. It won’t cover everything and some tips might spark different opinions, but if you’re starting from scratch, it’s really helpful. Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1fxZ-VWs2U
That video is great! I was going to suggest it as well. Also, browsing PC forums can help you see which parts are recommended and why!
Thanks! I appreciate the suggestion! I have a basic understanding of computer components, but I’ll definitely check this out!
Here's a fun breakdown of parts to help you remember:
- CPU: Brain
- GPU: Visual Cortex
- PSU: Heart
- Mainboard: Central Nervous System
- RAM: Short-Term Memory
- Hard Drive: Long-Term Memory
- Case: Skeleton
- Cooling System: Lungs/Sweat System
- Operating System: Consciousness/Mind
This might help you visualize how everything connects!

Thanks so much for the link! I'm excited to dive into it!
