I recently bought a new ASUS gaming PC with an RX 9070 XT, Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 32GB of RAM, a 2TB SSD, and Windows 11. Whenever I try to launch a game, including GTA V, it fails to open. Afterward, Task Manager also becomes unresponsive or freezes. Windows is updated, and I already uninstalled and reinstalled the graphics drivers, but the problem remains. What should I check next, and which updates or diagnostics might help?

That computer should easily run these games, so repeated failures across all games are not normal. Because it is a new prebuilt and still covered by warranty, contact the seller’s support team before making major changes. They may have you run memory, storage, or hardware diagnostics, perform a clean Windows reset, or arrange a replacement or repair if the system is defective.
Make sure the display cable is connected to the RX 9070 XT rather than the motherboard video output. Then reinstall the graphics driver using the manufacturer’s cleanup option, install the latest AMD chipset and motherboard drivers, and run Windows system checks such as DISM followed by System File Checker. If Task Manager still locks up after that, stop troubleshooting and use the warranty service.
Since this happens with every game and Task Manager freezes afterward, it may be a broader Windows, hardware, or system-driver issue rather than a single game problem. Check Windows Update for optional driver and chipset updates, install the motherboard and AMD chipset drivers from the system manufacturer, and look in Event Viewer for errors around the time of the crash. Also confirm whether the PC has a clean Windows installation instead of a drive transferred from another computer.
