I upgraded my graphics card from an RX 580 to an RTX 5060 Ti 8GB. At first, the computer started and worked for a little while, although things seemed somewhat unstable while the drivers were installing. Then the monitor stopped receiving a signal, and the PC began freezing during restarts and boot-up.
I've already tried using DDU, booting into Safe Mode, checking the power connection, and testing different monitors and display cables. The computer works perfectly whenever I reinstall the RX 580, but it consistently freezes with the new card. The power supply is rated at 630W, and the new GPU's fans spin when the system starts.
Could the new graphics card be defective, or are there other compatibility, BIOS, PCIe, or power-related checks I should try first?

Since the RX 580 works consistently and the RTX 5060 Ti causes the problem during boot, I’d concentrate on the new card, its power connection, and PCIe compatibility. Driver cleanup makes a software issue less likely. If you can’t test the card in another working computer, the strongest next step may be returning or exchanging it if the checks below don’t help.
Put the RX 580 back in, update the motherboard BIOS, and run DDU from Safe Mode using the clean-and-shutdown option. After installing the new card again, make sure its PCIe power connector is fully seated and use a dedicated PCIe cable from the power supply instead of a daisy-chained split cable. If it still freezes during boot, the RTX 5060 Ti may simply be defective out of the box, so returning or exchanging it promptly would be sensible.
Fans spinning only confirms that the card is getting some power; it doesn’t prove the card is functioning correctly under initialization. If a BIOS update, clean driver installation, and properly connected power cable don’t change anything, a faulty card is more likely than a monitor or cable problem.
I don’t have access to another system for testing. The GPU fans do spin, so it seems to be receiving power, and the 630W PSU should be sufficient.
