I'm putting together a new system using my existing Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB dual-channel DDR4 kit, storage drives, and graphics card. The motherboard, power supply, cooler, and case are new. The ASUS ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING shows a constant orange DRAM indicator and won't boot. I've reseated the memory, tested each stick individually, reflashed the BIOS, cleared CMOS by shorting the pins, removed the CMOS battery, and checked the CPU socket pins, but the light remains. The memory is currently installed in slots A2 and B2. Any ideas for diagnosing this?

Make sure the modules are in A2 and B2, which are the recommended slots for a two-stick kit. For troubleshooting, remove one module and try booting with only one stick in A2. If that fails, test the other stick by itself in A2 as well. This can help distinguish a bad module from a slot, memory-channel, or compatibility problem.
They’re already in A2 and B2, but I’ll test each stick alone in A2 as suggested. Unfortunately, neither stick worked by itself in that slot.
