New Seagate HDD Showing as Unknown Device in BIOS and Device Manager, But Not in Disk Management

I just purchased a new 2TB Seagate Barracuda hard drive for additional storage, alongside my main 2TB SSD. The drive powers on and is detected in both the BIOS and Device Manager, but it doesn't appear in Disk Management. I've tried searching for solutions online, but nothing has worked so far. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue?

Can you share the exact model number of your HDD? Also, what motherboard are you using and which SATA port did you connect the drive to? Sometimes switching to a different SATA port can help. If you're comfortable with the command prompt, you could try using Diskpart to clean, partition, and format the drive instead of Disk Management.

The model number is ST2000MD08. It's currently plugged into SATA port 3, but I've also tried ports 1 and 2. I'm not familiar with the Diskpart commands, though. What should I run?

It might be a dead-on-arrival (DOA) drive, so consider returning it if you can't get it to show up. It's worth checking out!
