I finished building my first PC, and it worked normally the first night with a display on the monitor. The next day, the system powered on and the fans still spun, but the monitor showed no image. I connected the DisplayPort cable directly to the graphics card, tried switching inputs, restarting, unplugging the system, and cycling the power supply switch, but nothing helped.
The motherboard now has a red diagnostic light next to DRAM. Earlier, the VGA light was usually illuminated even though the computer still worked. The RGB lighting on the AIO pump, fans, and radiator also stopped working, although the fans continue spinning. Additionally, the case power button turns the PC on normally but only shuts it down when held for several seconds.
What should I check first, and could the DRAM diagnostic light explain the lack of display?

Check the motherboard manual for the exact meaning of the DRAM diagnostic light. It usually indicates that the system is having trouble detecting or initializing the memory, which can prevent the PC from completing POST and producing any video output. Reseat the RAM, try booting with only one stick in the recommended slot, and provide the complete list of components if you need more targeted troubleshooting.
I’ll check the manual and test the memory one stick at a time. I didn’t realize the diagnostic light could stop the system from reaching the display stage.
